Facebook will begin sending postcards to anybody who purchases ads about a political candidate
Just when everybody was beginning to think that letters and postcards are a dying form of communication, Facebook comes along and decides to revive them.
Beginning this year, Facebook will begin using postcards to verify the location of anybody who purchases ads that are about the US elections. The cards will contain a code that advertisers have to enter online to prove they are based in the US.
The added process “won’t solve everything,” Katie Harbath, Facebook’s global director of policy programs, but will prevent foreign nationals from spending money anonymously to influence the elections.

Vancouver was already home to over 1,000 Amazon employees when the city joined the publicity race to be home to the tech giant's newest headquarters.
The city was unwilling to offer tax incentives to the company but they did boast something else instead: that tech workers in the city have the lowest wages of all tech hubs in North America.
With an offer like that, it's surprising that Vancouver didn't make the shortlist for the headquarters where up to 50,000 employees will work.
